Due to recurring questions about proper lighting, the importance of UVA/UVB rays and heat rays, combined with rapid advances in technology and knowledge, we invite you to participate in a workshop led by Dr. Sarina Wunderlich, PhD in physics. This workshop is open to all reptile owners, veterinarians, retailers, pet stores, and others interested in the subject. Learning and understanding leads to better care!

Dr. Sarina Wunderlich
Passionate about reptile lighting and very interested in everything related to lamp technology, the biological effects of light on reptiles and other vertebrates (vision, vitamin D3, thermoregulation, etc.) and light measurement.

  • Doctor of Physics, active in the optical semiconductor industry.
  • Author of www.licht-im-terrarium.de, a website dedicated to reptile lighting, since 2009.
  • Various articles in specialist magazines on the subject of reptile lighting.
  • Lamp tester for companies specializing in reptile lighting as part of prototype development.

  • This workshop will take place on February 7, 2026, from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm at AQUATIS Aquarium-Vivarium, Route de Berne 144, 1010 Lausanne
  • Lunch break: Picnic or restaurant
  • Access by car, Lausanne Vennes motorway exit
  • Access by public transport: CFF Lausanne train station, Metro M2 towards Croisettes, “Vennes” stop.
